Tell me about your current project.
I am currently on several Ryder projects at some level of completion.  ET is currently performing assessments, design and construction for several Ryder CNG vehicle maintenance facilities (VMFs). I’m also working on a storm drain improvement project in South Carolina and an upgrade to a material recovery facility (MRF) in Florida.

What’s your favorite part about working at ET or on your current project?
My favorite part about my time at ET has been the opportunity to work on so many different types of projects at really interesting locations around the country. It’s also been interesting to see the company grow from just a few people who worked for either Emcon or Turner when we were a joint venture, to a handful of people who took a chance when we bought out ET from the parent companies, to today where we have 14 offices throughout the US and Canada.

What has been your favorite job or project in your career?
I’ve been fortunate to work on several interesting projects throughout the US, the Caribbean, and even as far away as Hong Kong. I’ve had the opportunity to work on projects at Yale Law School, Yale Medical School, the US Military Academy at West Point, NAVSEA Building 197, New York Red Bull Soccer Stadium, St. Croix Alumina Refinery Decommissioning, and many, many others over the years.

What is most challenging about renovation projects?
The only thing you can count on with a renovation project is that you will find something you did not count on. Sometimes it is difficult for owners to understand that and you have to prepare them for the unexpected. We’ve been extremely fortunate over the years and our clients have understood the challenges.
