RENO TRANSFER STATION REDEVELOPMENT PROJECT

ET provided planning, design, permitting and construction services for the redevelopment of the existing Commercial Row Facilities including the ECO Center. The project includes improvements to both the collection fleet and its infrastructure (fueling/maintenance/parking), as well as improvements to the recyclables processing and support facilities.

SUTRO STREET IMPROVEMENT PROJECT – Provided and installed civil improvements on Sutro Street and Commercial Row, including fencing, landscaping, irrigation, and existing infrastructure repair.
DRIVER TRAINING AND DISPATCH BUILDING – Construction of 4,700-sf Driver Dispatch and Training Building, including parking, site improvements, landscaping, and utilities.
DIESEL FUELING FACILITY – Construction of new diesel and compressed natural gas fueling facility, including canopy, dispensers, above ground fuel tank, gas compressor, site and street improvements, and landscaping. Also included demolition and decommissioning of existing fueling facility.
EMPLOYEE PARKING LOT – Construction of new Employee Parking lot, including pole lighting, landscaping, civil improvements, retention basins, sidewalks, street improvements and infrastructure for future facilities.
MATERIAL RECOVERY FACILITY – Construction of a 42,000-sf MRF for processing single-stream recyclables, including conveyor pits, guardrails, lighting, fire suppression, and equipment and conveyor infrastructure. This portion also included public works utilities and street improvements, sidewalks, a storm water system, life safety infrastructure, and a community drop-off area for green waste, E-waste, and household hazardous waste.
ECO CENTER/ADMINISTRATION BUILDING – Construction of new 4,800-sf Administration and Public Education Building, including administration facilities, civil improvements, parking, utilities, lighting and landscaping.
COMMERCIAL VEHICLE FUELING / PARKING – Construction of new parking lot and compressed natural gas fueling for 117 commercial vehicles. Also included new truss systems, storm water retention and treatment, new lot lighting, safety alarm systems, and outlets for vehicle block heaters.
COMMERCIAL TRUCK WASH – Construction of new truck wash facility, public restrooms, and control booth, including civil improvements, landscaping and irrigation, and repair of existing infrastructure.
