Humberto Lopez is ET’s East Region Executive Vice President and has more than 30 years of diversified experience in food and beverage, manufacturing, petrochemical and commercial projects for multi-national corporations in the US and Latin America.  Humberto has had a successful career in business unit management, business development and project development including general contracting, design-build and EPC, contract negotiations, material procurement and general coordination with clients, consultants, vendors, and contractors.

Green trend you’d like to see more of:
More conversions to alternative fuels, reuse of heat recovered from processes, less use of water during manufacturing processes, reduction of food additives and preservatives.

Most challenging project:
Renovation of an 18,000-square-foot hot dog processing room within 28 days from shutdown to commissioning. Work included gutting the areas from slabs to ceilings, installing new mechanical, electrical, and plumbing utilities, and installation/commissioning of new processing equipment.
